Where Dreams Come True...

Disney World is one of my favorite places. There is something about it that just brings a smile across my face. Everything there is just so perfect, down to the very last detail!  It is like you enter into a dreamworld (if you could take away the background noise of hearing families fighting, parents yelling, and little kids crying and screaming).

But we had such a great time! Here was our day of travel.  The boys had never flown before, so they were so excited and nervous at the same time.  Their eyes never left the windows.  They all received wings and certificates for it being their first flight.

The first night we went to Downtown Disney.  We ate at Rainforest Cafe and shopped.  Each of them had saved up so much money, but they realized quickly that it wasn't going to go as far as they thought.  None of them really bought anything this night, thinking they would see something better and more worth their hard earned cash.

Blizzard Beach was wet!  Not just the slides, but it rained too.  It was closed for about two hours in the afternoon, but we waited it out.  Mom and I were freezing from being so wet all day without the sun, but the boys jumped right back in when the storms stopped.  I think their favorite ride there was the zip line.

We also went to Hollywood Studios and the Magic Kingdom.  These are my two favorites.  The boys were not scared of any of the rides.  They loved Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster!  My favorite was the Fantasmic show at Hollywood Studios!  I highly recommend it if you are going.  It was unreal!

I guess Jiminy Cricket was right, dreams really do come true.

Time to Tiki!

A couple of weekends ago, we had a Tiki Party for Trevor's Dad's 50th Birthday! It was all decked out with decorations, food, drinks, and friends. It was the perfect backyard summer bash! Here are a few detail pictures of the decorations. Enjoy!

Kelly & Heath Part 2

Kelly and Heath are two of the most outgoing people I have ever met. They are constantly laughing, talking, and just having a good time. They are the life of the party! When we first started photographing them, I never thought that we would see them slow down. But as the day went on, we saw the calming love that keeps them together shine. And I think you will see that too!

They are perfect examples of this quote. "...the initial experience of 'falling' in love, and the permanent state of being in love," (The Art of Loving, Erich Fromm) Experiencing both each day is the secret. I saw that with Kelly and Heath. They not only have the excitement of falling in love with each other again every day, but they also have the comfort and security of being in love.

[Kelly took on the role as the cute little house wife. This apron was featured on Ugly Betty. You can get aprons and much more at Savvy Stuff located in Volkman Kitchen & Bath in Wauseon, Ohio.]

The Way I See Things

"There are things which nobody would see unless I photographed them."
- Diane Arbus

Everybody sees things a little differently. And because of this, I need to show you how I see things. Looking back at these images, I feel that they are a good representation of my style. These were taken of Jeremy, Meagan and Jace when he was only 14 days old. They were a very new family. We took these in their living room, and it was a relaxing time for them to just enjoy their newly born son. You can feel their happiness radiating. They were just themselves.

This is how I would like every session to be. It should be a time for you to create an excuse to be happy. A time set aside for your family to just be together, laughing and enjoying each other's company in your favorite spot. And a time to capture the moments in life that are rarely noticed.

Flip Flop Summer

Summer is finally here! School is out, and the weather is definitely warming up! My brothers were over the other day, and we rang in summer with lots of activities. We went to baseball practice, watched a movie, went up town to buy candy, had some fun on the slip 'n slide, and played cornhole. Their summer days are not lazy, but they sure are fun! I could barely keep up!
