Slow Summer Days

I don't know who ever said summer was slow. Right now I am thinking, where has my summer gone? At the beginning, I had so many goals that I wanted to accomplish, places I wanted to go, activites I wanted to do, all while having plenty of time to relax too. Then I found myself at the baseball fields every night cheering on my four little brothers. But now that baseball season has been finished for almost three weeks, I need a new excuse! How many times do I say, "After baseball season I will have a lot more time to get everything done," or "After Christmas I will be able to work harder", or "After football season we'll have a free weekend"? It is never ending! So, I just have to decide to do what I want to do now, even if my to do lists get finished at a slower pace than I would like them to. A favorite quote of mine says it all, "It does not matter how slow you go so long as you do not stop."

Enjoy the images from my summer spent at the baseball fields. To my boys, great job this season! I am so proud of you!

Tiny Village/Big City

Last weekend was a great one, and this weekend should be awesome too! Trevor and I have two great weekends in a row, but they are completely opposite. Last weekend we stayed at home because our small village of Archbold was having its annual Carp Festival. There were sidewalk sales (which I took full advantage of) and lots of activities, but the best part was the Art in the Park on Saturday. We walked around with my mom and my brothers, looking at all the different things that we wanted to purchase. And, I believe we talked to just about everyone we possibly could know.

We also ate...

Played Games...here you will see that Trevor decided to compete against the boys and lost horribly. He gave us all a great laugh though.

And even after all that pain, he was actually crazy enough to try it again...

The boys bought Bentley a new Ohio State flag for his collar. Go Bucks!

Then my whole family went swimming and ate pizza! What could be better?!

And as if the day could not get any better, we ended the night with Isaac getting to pick out a new bike! He spotted "the one" almost within seconds!

Of course, he had to try it out.

And now this weekend, Trevor and I are headed to the big city of Columbus. We are both so excited because we are going to see a lot of our college friends that we have not seen in a long time. As different as these two weekends are they have one strong link. Both are being spent with the people closest to our hearts, our family and friends. It couldn't get any better.

The Roth Family

With two babies on our hands this photo shoot was a whirlwind. I was trying to work as fast as I could, and snap as many pictures as possible before they both decided that they were ready for either lunch or their naps. When we were all finished, I plopped back in my car to head home and took a deep breath - forgetting to breath for the past hour because I was so excited - and at that moment I realized that it was the most fun I have ever had! I had an absolute blast! I do not think I stopped smiling all day! Even though the twins cried most of the time, Brad and Aimee still seemed so relaxed. They handled it beautifully and were up for anything I threw at them. My favorite images of the day are the ones where they are completely focused on their two children, enjoying them completely.

Thank you to Brad and Aimee for allowing me to be a part of your family for even that one hour! I appreciate it so much!

Sneak Peak

I couldn't wait any longer to share!  I have been working on the Roth family's photographs and my heart is being tugged at by every image.  Here is a little sneak peak.  I should hopefully be able to show you a lot more at the end of the week.  Enjoy!

4th of July Weekend

Relaxation was the best part of this past weekend. We did not have any plans or agenda. I made it a point to continuously ask myself what I wanted to do instead of what I thought I should be doing. Most of the time I chose to read this weekend. Reading is my absolute "me" time. Usually I feel guilty reading because I think that I should be doing something more productive, but not this weekend!

I just finished The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd. It was a great book! Here are some of my recent favorites.

Also, I finally saw some color in my garden! I have been so disappointed with these flowers this year, but they are finally starting to show some promise.
