Traveling Nightmare

Vacation was great, but I am still recovering from our long trip home on Sunday. We flew into Atlanta from St. Maarten. We went through immigration, and then proceeded to wait an hour for our bags in customs because the luggage carousel was broke. By then it was too late to recheck our bags, go through security, and still make our flight. We were put on standby for a total of 6 flights, were in every single terminal multiple times, spoke with I don't know how many Delta representatives, and ended up being in the airport for over nine hours. We ended up barely getting on the 9:30 flight to Detroit, and arrived at our house around 2:30 am. Not a good way to end a trip, and now I can completely understand how people can get so angry at the airlines. It was quite the experience.

Once I fully recover (hopefully by tomorrow), I will be able to share some images from the actual vacation. Here is a picture of all the tickets we had by the end of the day just for our one flight.

Out of Office

Waking up late, sipping my morning coffee, laying in the sun, reading the last book in the Twilight series, relaxing with my hubby, wearing my sun dresses, going out for dinner, staying up late - I am on VACATION! It is going to be so great to rest up right before my busy months of photographing all of your beautiful faces.

I will be out of the office from 3/21 - 3/29. If you need something, just shoot me an email or call me and leave a message. I will be up bright and early on Monday, March 30th getting back to everyone! Have a great week!

Randi | Anytime

I have been needing to get these images up on the blog for months now! Back in October (I know...), me and my sister decided to go out and have some fun with the golden fall sun and the colorful fall leaves. What else can I say, I think she looks absolutely gorgeous! We will definitely have to do this sometime again soon. Enjoy!

Road Trip

Trevor, somehow, can talk me into anything! And it makes me mad! About two weeks ago he found out about a work trip he had to go on - driving from Archbold to Frankfort, Kentucky then on to Blacksburg, Virginia, and then back home. All in all it came to about eighteen hours of driving in four days time. He didn't want to go alone, and I didn't want him to either - but I didn't want to be the one drug along for the ride.

I fought it for days, saying there was no possible way that I could go. I just had too much to get done. But, what do you know, the day before he was going to leave I said I would find a way to make it work. And so, I put myself through one of the worst trips of my life last Sunday through Thursday. Yes, there were moments of fun - slight moments! But most of it was just horrible! I won't make you go through what I did so here are some images from the few moments worth remembering.

Here's what I saw a lot of...cars and road.

When I got really bored I did a little experimenting with my camera while we drove.  I really enjoy these images...they might be adorning my bedroom walls soon when I redecorate.

One of our stops was Virginia Tech.  We made sure to find the memorial from the shootings on April 16th, 2007.  I had known that 32 people were killed in this tragedy, but seeing a stone for each person made it that much more real.  It was simple, but still very moving.

New Site!!

I am constantly trying to improve what I have done before, in every part of my life. When I created my very first website, only about two and a half months ago, I was so ecstatic! At the time, it was perfect in my eyes and rightfully so with the amount of work I put into it. But, as an artist and a person, I am constantly evolving. I woke up one day two weeks ago and just had a completely different vision for my website. At first I told myself that my current website was only two months old, but instead of sitting back, I took action and am so glad that I did.

Introducing my new and improved site! Please check it out and let me know what you think! Go to www.lreneestudio.com!
Happy Friday!
