When we spoke about location, she knew she wanted the session held in their home. I was so excited! I love when a family chooses to do their session in their home, especially when they have little ones. I feel the session and the images become more personal. It is completely true to life and true to what they are experiencing right now as a young family. Children are most comfortable in their own home, and this way they can play with their toys while they become more comfortable with me and my camera. But the biggest bonus of all...when one of the many possible mishaps happens with children, you are right there in your home to grab a change of clothes or perform a diaper change!

Kissling Family
When Miranda, owner and photographer of Gloria Photography, called me to photograph her family I was honored. Not just because she was a photographer herself, but because she is familiar with many photographers in the area, and she chose me. Thank you Miranda!

Kissling Family | Sneak Peek
I have been editing away this afternoon, swaying and singing to some Norah Jones when I came across this little gem. I just had to share! Much more to come next week. Have a very happy Friday!

Best of 2009 Contest
This past year has been amazing and unbelievable because of all of you! I have been honored that so many of you have chosen to invite me into your lives, not only as your photographer but as your friend too. I wanted to pay homage to this year by selecting the best images from all of 2009. It was difficult to say the least to narrow it down this far.
And because I know you will be able to decide way better than me, I want you to choose the The Best Image of 2009! The winner will receive a 10x10 Canvas Gallery Wrap (a $175 value) of the image that wins or an image of their choice from that session! To vote, leave a comment on THIS post, and the image with the most comments wins! Contest ends SUNDAY NIGHT AT MIDNIGHT! Only ONE comment per person choosing up to 3 different images. You are welcome to ask anyone you want to vote for you! Good Luck!

Gilsdorf| Family
Everything about my first session with this family was amazing, and I was so excited that they called me to schedule another one this fall. Oak Openings had so many things for Mason to get into that I definitely got my workout that day chasing him. It was worth it though and so much fun! And having their two dogs there was an added bonus. I just love dogs! Enjoy!
